Please join us on October 8 via the Mesquite Arts Center’s YouTube Channel for an educational experience that teaches children about merchants and artisans of Mexico. This week we will be welcoming bilingual instructor Lilia Estrada as she instructs children 8 years old and up how to create a felt keychains. Parent assistance is encouraged due to children using sewing needles.
On October 5 through Mesquite Arts Council’s Tote-and-Go Program, we will have supply kits available for pick for individuals 8 years old and up.
Tote-and-Go Program:
The Mesquite Arts Council’s Tote-and-Go Program is a contactless free service, which is open to the public.This service is first-come, first-serve and is located inside the Mesquite Arts Center’s front lobby table.This service is available Monday-Friday, starting at 10 AM of each week.
Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 - October 15. We will host a series of workshops for kids. Age brackets will range from 3 - 17 years old depending on the workshop.
